Event Recap: H-Town Sneaker Summit

H-Town Sneaker Summit is regarded as one of the top sneaker events in the US and putting it that way is giving a lot of credit to the other events out there. Simply put, everything is bigger in Texas, even sneaker events. The H-Town Sneaker Summit took place this past weekend at the Reliant Center in Houston and as you would expect, sneaker enthusiasts from all around the area and beyond, brought out some of their best kicks.

Sneaker Con New York Event Recap

The sneaker gods were being nice this past Saturday as Sneaker Con visited New York City once again. The December event welcomed relatively mild temperatures on the outside while on the inside there was plenty of heat from sneakers brought and amount of #sneakerholics who showed up. The event brought out enthusiasts from all over, traveling long distances to not only show off their best but check out what others had and possibly buy, sell or trade as well. Hosted by adidas the guests were able to check out the Jeremy Scott Spring/Summer 2012 collection in person and up close as well as other adidas sneakers out and set to come out soon. A large contingent of Sneakerpedia supporters were on hand, like DJ Clark Kent and Premium Pete. Sneaker Pimps Philly Event Recap

The 2011 Sneaker Pimps Tour may be coming to an end but it’s definitely going out with a bang. This past weekend in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the next to last stop took place. Sneakerpedia was in the house along with one of the hottest hip-hop artists on the come up right now, Kendrick Lamar.

As a Southern California native, Kendrick Lamar is no stranger to the sneaker community. He’s gained a following through creative lyrics and fresh kicks and has the attention of some of hip-hops most respected veterans. One of which, Philly’s own, Freeway, was the surprise guest of the night, hitting the stage with Kendrick for a portion of his set. As you can expect, the local Philadelphia sneakerholics went crazy.

The night was filled with entertainment, but the main focus was all about the love of sneakers. Sneaker enthusiasts from all around Philadelphia and the surrounding cities, came out to buy, sell, and trade their kicks. Of course everyone seems to still be buzzing about the recently released Nike Air Mag, which was spotted both on feet and on display. The Nike Air Yeezy 2 seems to be the most talked about upcoming release, no there wasn’t any spotted, but the original Nike Air Yeezy was spotted in a number of colorways.

The final stop for the Sneaker Pimps 2011 Tour lands in New York City on November 12th, so plan for it now and stack your kicks in anticipation because rumors are swirling about possibility of a legendary artist as the night’s special guest.

Dunkxchange NYC Event Recap One of the most talked about sneaker releases in history has made its way into history books. The Nike Air Mag raised over $5.6 million dollars for the Michael J Fox Foundation, and as soon as the lucky winners began to receive their pairs, the internet was buzzing with excitement. Air Mags also made their first appearance at the New York Dunkxchange held at Chelsea Art Museum in Manhattan over the weekend.
